8/4/20111 | 19:281 | Moorestown1 | 200 Winding Way1 | Dwelling1 | 1 Alarm

Around 12:30 in the afternoon units from Moorestown, Lenola, Maple Shade, and Mount Laurel were dispatched to 200 Winding Way for the reported basement fire.  First arriving FM312 found smoke showing from the 1 story, single family dwelling and moments later confirmed an active basement fire.  The companies were placed in service, bringing Ladder 2415 with 6 as the RIT.  2415 arrived to set up RIT in the rear in coordination with units from Willingboro and Delran.  However, 2415 was quickly reassigned to interior operations as the crews were sent to the basement and 1st floor to open up and check for extension.  The crew worked for about 20 minutes before all fire extension was controlled and the fire was placed under control at about the 40 minute mark.  Engine 2411 and Chief 2400 also operated on location.  Crews cleared in just over two hours and no injuries were reported.

Around 0945 hrs, units from Riverton, Palmyra, and Cinnaminson were dispatched to 307 Midway for a report of smoke in the dwelling. Upon arrival chief 2400 found nothing evident, however on his size-up he found smoke showing from division 3 and the roof on both sides of the large duplex. Engine 2411 and Ladder 2415 arrived at the same time and went in service. The crews stretched a 2” line to the third floor where they encountered fire conditions in the hallway and a front bedroom. Crews quickly knocked the fire and checked for extension. At the 20 minute mark the fire was placed under control and the incident was scaled back to the units from Riverton. Engine 2411, 2412, and Ladder 2415 operated on location for 90 minutes. No injuries were reported.

 

6/17/2011 | 06:14 | Moorestown | 16 Jersey Belle Dr. | Dwelling | 2 Alarms

In the early morning hours units from Moorestown, Lenola, and Cinnaminson were dispatched to 16 Jersey Belle Dr. for a reported dwelling fire. Chief 3100 arrived on location with smoke showing from division 1 of a large, 2 ½ story, single family dwelling, placing all companies in service. This added Ladder 2415 as the RIT. 2415 arrived and was instructed to take a position on Side A of the dwelling, ladder the structure, and set up RIT. As crews had the bulk of the fire knocked and opened up on division 1, there was now fire on division 2 and in the attic space of the chimney area. A second alarm was requested and 2415 was reassigned to division 2 to assist with opening up and checking for extension. 2415 operated on location for three hours before returning to service. There were no injuries reported.

 

6/15/2011 | 18:26 | Palmyra Boro | 1028 Harbour Dr. | Building | 1 Alarm

In the early evening hours units from Palmyra and Riverton were dispatched to 1028 Harbour Dr. for a building on fire. Chief 8000 arrived reporting smoke showing from a garage type building that was approximately 60’X30’. Ladder 2415 arrived and went to work gaining entry and pulling an additional attack line to the rear of the structure off of Engine 8011. Crews worked for 10 minutes to bring the fire under control. The structure was the storage units for the adjoining apartment building units. 2411, 2412, and 2415 operated on location for approximately one hour before being released. No injures were reported.

 

6/14/2011 | 16:13 | Palmyra Boro | 610 Chestnut St. Dwelling | 1 Alarm

On Tuesday afternoon units from Palmyra, Riverton, and Cinnaminson were dispatched to 610 Chestnut St. for the reported dwelling fire with numerous calls. Engine 2011 and Engine 8011 arrived to find fire showing from an attached garage. Units secured a water supply and began knocking the fire. Ladder 2415 arrived and began throwing ground ladders, checking for extension, and ventilation. Crews had the fire knocked in 10 minutes. 2415, 2411, and 2412 operated on location for about an hour.

 

6/9/11 | 17:00 | Camden City | Camden City Buildings | 12 Alarms

At around 1700 hrs, as units were operating in Camden City with numerous buildings and dwellings burning, Ladder 2415 was dispatched to the City of Camden on the 8th Alarm. Camden had requested 5 Ladders bringing 2415, 2215 (Evesham), 3135 (Lenola), 7015 (Riverside), and 4314 (Tabernacle) to stage at the Collingswood Diner in Collingswood to be directed to the city. Upon arrival the team was dispatched to stage at the Lewis Ave. fire station. From there the units were placed with engine companies and strike teams were formed. Ladder 2415 responded on several runs in the city and returned to quarters around 2300 hrs. Burlington County Pipeline D operated on location of the fire, drafting from the Cooper River to provide a large water supply to the fire ground.

 

5/3/2011 | 14:41 | Riverton | 608 Linden Avenue Dwelling | 2 Alarms

Around 2:40 PM Central received a call from a contractor at 606 Linden Ave. stating that there was fire coming from the rear of 608 Linden Ave. Units from Riverton, Palmyra, and Cinnaminson were enroute as Chief 2400 arrived to find heavy fire conditions on both floors in the rear with exposure problems on both sides. Taking this into account he immediately requested the second alarm. 2411, 2011, and 2415 arrived together and went to work securing a water supply and knocking down the fire to protect the exposures. Crews worked for a half hour with heavy fire conditions to bring the fire under control. Both exposures sustained damage to the exterior with no interior problems. At the 40 minutes mark the fire was placed under control. 2411, 2412, and 2415 operated on location for approximately three hours. There were no reported injuries. Other units operating on location included Delran, Moorestown, Willingboro, Pennsauken, and Delran EMS.

In the early morning hours Engine 2411 was dispatched on the first alarm as the RIT to the Fox Meadow apartments in Maple Shade for the report of several apartments on fire. First arriving units from Maple Shade encountered heavy fire from several units of the block long, garden apartment building. RIT 2411 arrived and met with operations on Side A of the structure. The crew was immediately reassigned to stop the fire spread on the B Side of the units. The crew of 7 split their operations as several members stretched a leader line and standpipe pack to the apartment. The remainder of the crew went to work opening up the ceiling from front to back to expose the fire spreading down the row. Crews worked in coordination with units from Maple Shade and Mount Laurel to stop the fire in the attic space of the apartments they were working in. 2411 cleared the scene in just over two hours. Two civilians were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Ladder 2415 was dispatched as the RIT to Moorestown around 1030 hrs to 155 W. Central Ave. where units were on location with smoke showing from a two story, single family dwelling. The crew arrived and placed ground ladders and conducted a size-up of the structure. Crews from Moorestown Fire Dept. had a quick knock on the fire as it was placed under control within minutes of arrival. 2415 operated on location for a half hour. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital and released after evaluation.

In the late afternoon hours units from Palmyra, Riverton, and Cinnaminson were dispatched to 519 Cinnaminson Ave. for the reported dwelling fire with possibly victims trapped. Chief 2400 arrived and reported heavy smoke showing from the rear on division 2. Engine 2012 arrived and stretched a line up the apartment stairwell to begin knocking down the fire. Engine 8011, Ladder 2415, and Engine 2411 arrived and completed a primary search of divisions 2 and 3 with negative results and stretched lines to the fire floor. Crews also opened up and stretched lines to division 3 where there was fire throughout. Crews took about an hour to bring the fire under control. 2415, 2411, and 2412 operated on location for four hours. Other units on location included Pennsauken, Maple Shade, Delran, and Moorestown. No injuries were reported.

As another crippling snowstorm was dumping on the area, units from Cinnaminson, Moorestown, and Palmyra EMS were dispatched to 1001 Edgewood Lane for the reported house explosion. As units were enroute they were advised that Central was receiving numerous calls reporting that the structure was fully involved and collapsed into the basement. As units arrived they confirmed the same with some minor extension to the exposures on both sides. 2415 was added to the call with a crew of 6. The crew arrived and assisted companies with extinguishing the remnants of the home. The resident of the home had escaped nearly seconds before the dwelling exploded and was leveled. 2415 operated on the scene for about two hours before returning to service.

 

1/01/2011 | 00:57 | Delran | 347 Nicholas Drive | Apartment | 2 Alarms
Just after the New Year rang in, around 0100 hrs units from Delran and the surrounding area were dispatched to 347 Nicholas Dr. for a reported apartment fire. Units quickly arrived to find heavy fire conditions in the rear of an end unit. Approximately 20 minutes into the incident with fire on three floors, command requested the second alarm, bringing Ladder 2415 to the scene. The crew operated on the second and third floors of the exposure and fire units opening up, checking for extension, and extinguishing hot spots. Ladder 2415 operated on location for just over an hour.
